Student Testimonials

Ethan is absolutely a good math tutor! I think being my math tutor is really a difficult task. I am not a English native speaker and the subject I asked for tutoring was mathematical analysis (in UW Madison it is math 521) which is considered one of the most difficult subjects in the university. Before taking this course, I had only taken calculus I and II. That is to say, compared with other math major or other master students in my class, I nearly had no math base back then at all! However, I got an A in the end! This is really surprising for me. If you want to be good at math and find the beauty of math, ask Ethan for help! Ethan is patient and he teaches pretty well!

I had contacted Ethan for help in my Math with Business Applications class this fall, with only 4 weeks left of my class. He was able to meet with me twice a week and help me gain an understanding of math that I never felt I could get before. He worked with my busy schedule and was more than willing to put in extra hours before a quiz or my final. I would highly recommend his tutoring to anyone, as he made a very stressed-out student much more confident about a subject that was extremely hard for me.

— Emily, College senior

Ethan has been an incredible tutor and mentor for my 13-year-old son.  My son is quite advanced in math, and was interested in exploring topics that he would not normally be exposed to in school. Ethan jumped right in: stimulating him, inspiring him, and pulling him to the outer bounds of what he thought he was capable of. Most importantly, he was creative and made it fun—the 2 hours they spend together each week are one of the highlights of my son’s week. Ethan is flexible, dependable, and easy to relate to—we’re so glad we found him!
